Questions from contractors
Do you work as a subcontractor?
Yes. We price and install floor coatings, polished concrete and terrazzo for general contractors and construction managers, and we also work directly for building owners and businesses.
What do you need to price a project?
Drawings, the floor finish schedule, the flooring spec sections, any addenda and the bid due date. On renovations a site visit helps, because the existing slab decides the prep.
Can you work around other trades and a tight schedule?
Yes. We phase the work, work evenings and weekends, and use fast-cure systems where the schedule is tight.
Do you test the slab for moisture?
Yes. We test the concrete before we coat it and use a moisture-tolerant primer where needed, so the system bonds and stays down.

How a floor comes together.

01Test the slab
We check the concrete for moisture and look over every crack and old coating before we choose the system.
02Diamond grind and repair
Grinding opens up the surface so the coating can bond, with the dust pulled straight into the extractor. Cracks and spalls get filled.
03Base coat
A pigmented epoxy base coat goes down across the whole floor, wall to wall.
04Full flake broadcast
Vinyl flake is broadcast into the wet base until none of the base coat shows through.
05Scrape and topcoat
Loose flake is scraped and vacuumed, then a clear, UV-stable topcoat locks it in.
06Park on it
Usually within 24 to 48 hours of the topcoat, depending on temperature.
