Metallic Epoxy in Midnight Copper

Every Danbro epoxy floor starts the same way: a moisture test, a diamond-ground slab and concrete prep done properly. It’s the part you never see, and the reason the floor coating stays down for good.

Eight floor
coating systems.

Each epoxy floor system is built for a different job, from decorative metallic floors to industrial urethane cement. Choose the look you love and we match the build-up to how the space is used.

How an epoxy floor is built, layer by layer.

An epoxy floor is a system of layers bonded to diamond-ground concrete: a primer, a base coat, the decorative body coat and a protective topcoat. Here’s how a metallic epoxy floor is built, from bare concrete up.

    Epoxy garage floor transformation.

A garage floor coating turns cracked, stained concrete into a sealed surface that shrugs off road salt and hot tires. Our flake epoxy garage floors are finished with a polyaspartic topcoat in days, not weeks. Drag to compare.

        Flake Epoxy Garage Floors

        The garage floor, perfected.

        Domino

A pigmented epoxy base is broadcast to refusal with vinyl flake, then locked in under a clear polyaspartic topcoat. The texture hides dust and tire marks, and the topcoat stands up to road salt, hot tires and dropped tools.

        Flake Epoxy Garage Floors questions

Epoxy or polyaspartic: which is better for a garage?

We use both. The epoxy base coat bonds deep into the diamond-ground slab, and the polyaspartic topcoat is UV-stable, cures quickly and resists road salt, hot tires and chemicals.

Will a flake floor stand up to Ontario winters and road salt?

Yes. The sealed polyaspartic topcoat keeps salt, slush and de-icers on the surface, where they wipe up, instead of soaking into the concrete.

How soon can I park in the garage?

Usually within 24 to 48 hours of the topcoat, depending on temperature. We give you the exact time on the day.

        How a floor comes together.

Stills from our own job videos, from bare concrete to the day you park on it.

        1. Moisture meter on a bare concrete slab01

          Test the slab

We check the concrete for moisture and look over every crack and old coating before we choose the system.

        2. Diamond grinder and dust extractor on a garage floor02

          Diamond grind and repair

Grinding opens up the surface so the coating can bond, with the dust pulled straight into the extractor. Cracks and spalls get filled.

        3. Fresh base coat being rolled across a garage floor03

          Base coat

A pigmented epoxy base coat goes down across the whole floor, wall to wall.

        4. Close-up of a full flake broadcast04

          Full flake broadcast

Vinyl flake is broadcast into the wet base until none of the base coat shows through.

        5. Scraping loose flake off a cured floor05

          Scrape and topcoat

Loose flake is scraped and vacuumed, then a clear, UV-stable topcoat locks it in.

        6. Finished grey, black and white flake garage floor06

          Park on it

Usually within 24 to 48 hours of the topcoat, depending on temperature.
